Alpha GPC

Glycerophosphocholine (GPC), a water-soluble small molecule that normally exists in the human body, is the biosynthetic precursor of acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter. The most important role of GPC is that its choline is a water-soluble vitamin B group, which plays an important role in the brain and nervous system. Studies have shown that GPC has an important role in the production of some hormones and neurotransmission mediators such as acetylcholine and human growth hormone, thus supporting the function of the brain and nervous system.
In vivo, the most important physiological function of GPC is to cross the blood-brain barrier and provide choline necessary for the synthesis of acetylcholine and phospholipid (PC). Acetylcholine is an important neurotransmission medium in the central nervous system, helping the brain to complete learning, memory and cognitive activities, and controlling light sleep and muscular activity. Direct administration of GPC can promote the formation of phosphatidylinositol in the brain, and increase the amount of phospholipid synthesis in the brain, provide more phospholipid compounds for signal transduction in the central nervous system, increase the amount of phosphatidylcholine synthesis in the body, and help resist the damage of cell membrane and the decline of peripheral nerve function caused by aging.
